ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chrissy Mastro is a writer, author, and adoptee whose work explores belonging, identity, and emotional well-being. Drawing from her lived experience as a transracial adoptee, she writes stories that gently affirm feelings and celebrate the power of connection, acceptance, and being seen.

She divides her time between Chicago and Los Angeles with her partner, Miguel, and their daughter, Cali.

It’s Not Just Me: A Story for Adoptees is her debut picture book.
